Steve DelVecchio
Candidate for Regional Board of Education


Born and raised in Durham Connecticut, Stephen DelVecchio IV currently resides in the town with his wife Melissa and 5-month-old Golden Retriever mix, Frankie DelVecchio. Steve worked for the Senate Republican office of the Connecticut General Assembly where he began as a sessional employee working with the Finance, Revenue, and Bonding Committee. He was quickly promoted by the senate to coordinating public affairs, a role in which he assisted state senators with communications and public outreach efforts among other duties. After his time with the state, he accepted the Government Affairs and Economic Development Director position for the Greater Waterbury Chamber where he works today. He has recently been appointed to the Main Street Waterbury Board of directors along with serving as a chair for the Public Policy, Economic Vitality and Commercial BCG Committees for the Chamber. Steve was also recently appointed as an official grant application review committee member for the Women's Business Development council as of August of this year. Over the past several years, DelVecchio has worked on various municipal and statewide elections, including serving as campaign manager for Joshua Esses for State Senate. Steve is a hardworking, determined individual who not only understands the importance of the Durham and Middlefield public school district, but experienced it firsthand Graduating from Coginchaug Regional High School in 2010.
